Getting Started
This document is a quick-start guide for first-time EVA users.
Create Accounts
EVA controls features based on role permissions. Before operations begin, create accounts by role.
- Admin: Full access, including system settings, account/permission/license management
- Manager: Camera/scenario/feedback-centered operations
- User: View-focused usage
Recommended setup:
- Complete initial setup with one Admin account.
- Separate site operators as Manager accounts.
- Separate view-only users as User accounts.
Register License
The license determines EVA operational capacity.
Items to check:
- License activation status
- Expiration date
- Maximum number of registrable cameras
Before bulk camera registration, check license limits first. If the limit is exceeded, registration or operation may be restricted.
Start Your First Detection
Follow this order for your first detection setup.
- Register a camera and verify connection status.
- Create a scenario or apply a template.
- Configure targets/ROI/model/alerts.
- Start monitoring.
- Check detection results and alerts in the chat panel.
Processing path differs by streaming and monitoring status.
- Streaming keeps frames for display.
- Monitoring selects inference frames and sends them to Vision/Agent.
In short, camera connection alone is not enough. Real detection quality depends on both monitoring enabled + scenario configured.
